Our Compost Turner has Arrived!

Our compost turner has arrived! We are showing how it works for the first time on our windrows of compost, comprised of chicken manure and woodchips The paddles on the axle turn, like a blender, and mixes up the compost as it passes over the top of the windrow. This mixing introduces oxygen and moisture into the compost, which enhances aerobic bacteria activity and decomposition of the organic matter.
